Return from Rome, Italy

I just returned from Rome, Italy, with the purpose of feeding my knowledge about architecture. As my vision flew over the first cities, I felt my heart in my throat and that I would run out of breath. The look I took led me to the conclusion that I felt like I was looking at a landscape from a fantasy book. It was extremely beautiful to see millions of golden orbs decorating the landscape accompanied by a night light. The days passed extremely quickly, however, each and every one of them was worth it.

Immediately appreciated the ornaments and details that used to be made in buildings many years ago. Adorning the corners and vertices with statues, reliefs or elegant protuberances that demonstrated a city full of power and, probably, that attracted the attention of tourists like me. Something that I loved is that, by train, you could get to almost literally any place and how quiet it was. Of course, traveling for hours is not a problem for me. I took advantage of creating a new book on Wattpad and reading some sagas! I also took advantage of watching the latest Sonic Prime series on Netflix, haha.

As soon as I was able to get used to the rhythm of the city, I will confess that I am a pizza lover, and being surrounded by places that offered this delicious food was something that almost made me explode (in a good way). The margherita pizza is something I will never forget.

Well, getting into technical details, in a nutshell, it was a mix of styles parading along thousands of kilometers!

1. Classical Architecture Colosseum: An icon of Roman architecture, it is a huge amphitheater built in the 1st century AD that shows the advanced engineering of the time. Pantheon: Temple dedicated to the Roman gods, famous for its dome and central oculus, a masterpiece of ancient architecture.

2. Renaissance Style St. Peter’s Basilica: One of the largest churches in the world, designed by architects such as Bramante and Michelangelo. Its dome is a symbol of the Renaissance. Farnese Palace: An example of Renaissance architecture with stunning frescoes and an elegant façade.

3. Baroque Piazza Navona: With its beautiful Fountain of the Four Rivers, it is a classic example of the Baroque style, with ornate buildings around the square. Church of San Carlo at the Four Fountains: Designed by Francesco Borromini, it is known for its innovative architectural design.

4. Modern Architecture MAXXI (National Museum of 21st Century Arts): Designed by Zaha Hadid, it is an example of contemporary architecture in Rome, with flowing lines and open spaces.

5. Common Elements Columns and Arches: Common in classical Roman architecture, used in many historic buildings.

Frescoes and Mosaics: Decorations that adorn many churches and palaces, reflecting both religious and mythological themes.

I’ve been to so many of those attractions, and even if I don’t know much Italian, I appreciated every help and every text that was given to me to understand the history! What I can remember is visiting Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Florence, Assisi, Pisa and Venice. I was pretty close to making it to my birth country!

For now, this is my little entry explaining my absence for a month, now I can resume the activities I had and put my VGen page «open» again!

A big thank you to all the wonderful people who support my work and read me! I would also like to thank the patience of the people who still commissioned me during this period of time. I appreciate it! Finally, I will attach pictures of everything I saw!
